system 32 errors

Trying to install game for my daughter. My system more than exceeds requirements. Dell 4600, 256 mem, 52.2 GB free space. Error message: "c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and MS Windows applications." I attempted to follow MS support step by step for this exact error but ran into more problems. Something about my %system folder-file missing. I dont know. Apologize. Cannot remember specifics. The game installs fine on my parents pc. Also, tried using my calculator from "accessories". It is missing. Error message: c;\documents and settings\jeangreyDFR1G041\local settings\temp\drp16.tmp\thnall1m.exe not valid Windows 32 application." Any suggestions? thank you.

 

Calculator does not run from c:\documents and settings\jeangreyDFR1G041\local settings\temp\drp16.tmp\thnall1m.exe, thnall1m.exe is a Trojan/Downloader.
