system almost comes to a stop after I updated avira antivirus

    Having Norton and Avira at the same time is what all the warnings are telling me. What is the best way of fixing this ?

    Hi and Welcome to the forum.

    Do please always with any tech question let us know what version of Windows and Service Pack you are using as it helps.

    What I would do is to uninstall Norton and Avira or any other anti-virus software you have and run the removal tools for them, Norton HERE and Avira HERE or can use AppRemover as an all in one tool.

    Once all removed, reboot and install your favoured Anti-Virus software again and also have a read of his How to Protect yourself from malware!
