System Crashing Dont know why?

Well i am really mad.

For some reason my system crashes when i play a game. This all started when i installed a mod for BFV. I used to play BFV just fine, then i installed the mod and all hell broke loose. I can get maybe 3-5 min into BFV, and it crashes to the desktop, i have to click on BFV in the taskbar to reopen it. I can play for a few more minutes, but then it crashes again. I tried to play farcry today, and ran into the same problem, crashing once i start a game.

All my drivers are updated. I dont konw what is causing this. I might do a system restore to last week when things where working. Any suggestions before i do this?

what is BFV?

im guessing the mod you installed isn;t compatible w/ something on your system ... it might be that it corrupted a driver or something

 

BFV is Battle Field Vietnam. Yes i think the mod screwed up somthing. I am going to do a system restore. That should bring back everything.

UPDATE


When i load BFV or Farcry. It minamizes to the desktop. If i click on it in the taskbar several times it will eventlually stay up full screen. I can then play the game.

What is wierd is that in Farcry if i have the shaddow settings anywhere past medium the ground is all black. Also the lighting is painfully bright. Where ever the sun touches somthing it is basicly white. This includes foors, walls, and root tops in the first level.

Do i just have a driver problem, or is my card flawed?

you have two installs of windows , correct? you might try installing far cry on the second just to rule out a hardware problem ... it could be directx, just a thought
