Well last night I had enough of my computers blue screens. (this was before I came to this website so I did use incorrect methods) For over four months I have been having memory management blue screen errors.

After tracking down the problem to be Malaware I used malaware-bytes to remove the malaware. Over 90 errors were found and they were deleted. After system restart I started noticing problems and here were the problems.

1.) System resolution was really low, had to re-adjust resoliction so I could see things right.
2.) Nvidea graphics card would not open due it an error stating that my display is not attached to its gpu.
3.) Upon using checkdsk to check my drive for errors they were detected and I had to restart my computer so windows could fix the problem.
3.a.) Upon system start up I get an error stating that windows cannot directly access my c drive please use system restore since software may have caused this error.
4.) when I go to system restore I cannot use it since its stating that my c drive is corrupted and I need to check it for errors.
5.) despite c drive being 'corrupted' I can still manually view it and acess its folders.
is there any soluctions to this problem.

How are you "manually viewing" your C:\ drive?

What partition is your OS installed on?

Are you able to boot into Windows in Normal or Safe Mode?

Have you tried disconnecting all external devices including graphics card (if desktop, try removing and use onboard)?

My OS is installed on my C drive. I have two other drives but they have no os files.

I can boot into windows normally with the only problems stated above.

By manually viewing my c drive I mean that I can still access all my files in that drive even though windows tells me that it is corrupted.
I am using an Asus g75v laptop if that helps btw. I will try and disconnect my graphics card and see if that helps.

just like to update after copying and replacing my windows folder from yesterdays version I can now defrag my hardrive. Still have problems with my graphics driver though.

Ok so you are simply getting the prompt for checkdisk but you can still boot into windows normally then?

A disk defrag is really only for performance I doubt this would help in this case...

If you have the PC functional, meaning you can boot to normal mode, you should first begin backing up any important documents.

I also do not recommend simply copying over your old Windows folder?
That can cause tons of issues.

Since it does appear to be a Video Card related issue, have you tried re-downloading and updating the correct drivers?

Can you provide the exact BSOD error that is listed?

Have you tried checking Event Viewer for any errors/warnings?

It sounds to me like whatever you did caused damage to the OS.
Tweaking.com may be able to help but reformatting and starting fresh could be a good idea.

Well I did copy over my old windows folder, it coudent of been too diffrent since it they are just a day old. After the copy I did a defrag and a disk check with windows.

Windows was actually able to read C drive now and it deleted some corrupted files and restored a few other ones. After disk check my graphics card was able to be installed correctly. (Despite disabling it, rolling it back or reinstalling newest update windows could not install it.) So far my serious system problems are fixed.

I am afraid however that the old malaware I got is back since I had to use a old windows file previous to the malaware-bytes scan that caused this problem in the first place.

I am also afraid that due to this that my memory management issues are coming back, So do you have any tips on removing any possible malaware so that my system does not screw up again.

well after defrag I was able to run chckdsk fully. It deleted some corrupted files and it restored some other ones. After that my graphics driver was able to install. I am afraid though that the malaware that caused my memory management issues is back. Do you have any tips for safely removing malaware because I dont want malaware-bytes to screw up my system again.

if I see the bsod error again i will tell you but it was something like "Windows has to shut down due to error Memory_Managment. with error 0x00000001A. I checked my computer with memory test and it passed with flying colors, I know that updating the bios could fix some problems if it was due to ram so I updated myn, I also updated a few other drivers to be safe. Everything was ok but I then got the blue screen again in the middle of playing call of duty ghost. I then checked my system with malaware-bytes and it detected over 90 malaware type files.

It deleted the files and upon restart I had the problems as described earlier. Now I was able to fix using a old backup of the windows folder. my question is will my computer still have the troblesome malaware now?

If you still have malware then you'll need to post a message in the malware forum. Good luck

Oh, given the presumed file corruption, you ought to run the following command from the command line or the Run box

    sfc /scannow

That will check your system for corrupt of missing system files and attempt to restore and/or fix the files.
