Hi there! I'm on dial-up (high speed unavailable in area). Alot of times (not all the time) I dial-up and my system hangs for 5-10 minutes. Most of the time when it happens, it's when I've restarted the computer. I've done all the scans for spyware and viruses (even in safe mode with system restore off and hidden files shown) and it still happens. Any suggestions?

Have you run disk clean-up and disk defrag lately? Also, what operating system are using, and who supplies your internet access?:)

Yes I've run disk clean-up and disk defrag many times, still hangs. I'm using winxp sp2 home edition. We use Telus for internet access. My other computer doesn't do this and it is on the same line, I called them and they said maybe I have a virus. I've also done all those online scans too.
