System help

Recently, after I start my computer, the boot screen will lag and then about 20 seconds after startup, which is just enough for me to get logged on, the HDD indicator light will turn on and stay light and the normal noise made when the system is processing is repeated over and over in a pattern of *------*-*, with * being the sound and - being silence. This happens when i try to boot in safe mode too, any ideas on how to fix this? Only major change before this was using r2 studios' startup delayer to delay one application of startup.
