    Hi,
I've been having a few prolbems with my computer for some time now, I'll try to describe it to you.
    Problem #1;
In my bios, I cannot see my two dvd-rom drives.
The main screen when I enter the bios, Primary master = NA, Secondary master = NA
Then below this it has my two harddrives.
All harddrives+dvd roms are all on cable select, earlier today they were setup as on master+slave for each hdd+dvd.
I took the top dvd-rom out and plugged it into where my c: is normally, the bios would then find the dvd rom and would work fine.
Why is it that my bios wont see the dvdroms+hdd's all at once?
    Is there a solution?

    Problem #2
Every now and then my computer will jitter to a halt (graphically start jittering+sound would jitter also) and force me to reboot to resume normal functionality.
This is all normally during games, yet sometimes whilst just playing music+browsing the intenet.
Sounds like my RAM might be the cause you say?
I've done a memtest for 1.5 hrs just before and didnt find any errors. (I'll do a longer scan tonight, around 12 hrs.)
    Solution?

    Thanks.

Try setting the master slave jumpers manually its probably the cable select playing up,the stuttering problem sounds like overheating I'm only guessing without your specs, your cpu could be throttling if its a modern-ish CPU

From your original post ...do you have the hard drives on the secondary ide and the cd/dvd's on the primary ide?

Both dvd drives are on one ide cable, also both hard drives are on one ide cable.

Question was are the hard drives on the primary ide? If on secondary, could be the reason not recognized>>>>:) :)
