System Mechanic 5

Does anyone have any experience with this program? I installed it a few months ago and recently I heard some people complianing how it ruined their computer. Should I uninstall it?

 

Well on my computer system machanic 5 didnt work. The spyware part on it would freeze up on me. And everything else didnt work. It looks like a nice program to use but didnt work out for me. But there are people here that use it and it works fine for them.

i have an older version of SysMechanic. i love the version i have. my brother ahs SysMechanic 5 and so far it is working just fine for him. i don't find it quite as user friendly as my own, but it could be that i am just really used to mine.

 

I bought sys mech 4 Pro, 5 months later they go to Sys 5 and want $$$ to upgrade. I didnt like it that much anyway. The defrag never worked for me, and I had hard drive problems not a few. The new pro version has kaspersky antivirus, which i hear is a very good product. sys 4 had panda, The prob is with this product when they go to vers 6, will both Kaspersky and Iolo want $$$ ???. While it has some nice features, it aint all that. Personally i think military style deletions are hard drive killers.

The spyware on their I think is just a registry checker, not a thorough system cleaner. I has a feature to completely wipe your entire hard drive which runs from a floppy, but i could not get that to work on my system either. Some reviews are raving about this product but if you use it for a year, I'd rather have Nortons.
