Has any of my fellow geeks (or geekettes) used the program System Mechanic? After reading about it on it's web page I was somewhat impressed, especially it being an "all in one" program. I am tempted to give it a whirl but would love to hear from other users.

Thanks for your help and your kindness.

It's a good program although a little expensive. I occasionally use the startup manager, remove invalid uninstaller information, and fix broken shortcut features; I rarely if ever, use any of its other features. In reality, I could find freeware programs that do practically everything it does. If cost is a factor, I would suggest going the freeware route.

    Works Great

I have been using it for about 8 months, not one problem.
WinME , it really did speed up my dialup also.

I also have an older version, but I've not had it installed for quite some time now. Never had a problem with it though. Seemed to be a great program.

I have been a registered user for years. Its a good program, the new one adds a lot of new tools. Price is a bit high and they didnt offer a free upgrade to the 4.x series, so I will probably find another program now simply because the high price to me should come with free upgrades.

Thanks for all the feedback. I downloaded the free trial...fell in love with the program after only 2 days...and, I am now a registered user. I felt with the $20 MajorGeek discount ($29 final price) it was worth the money. I really like the interface of version 4.
