    Hi,

I recently ran lots of anti spyware and virus progs as advised by Majorgeeks, all according to the instructions, by the letter.

I believe that the problem is solved, had the internat trojan, now gone.

However, since then my PC is running very slow.

    It is a PIII 500mhz, 128RAM, 16GB with only 1.9GB used, connecting using 1MB broadband, Win98se

I have freemeter running which shows that I am constantly at my 128MB RAM threshold and mostly at 100% on my CPU usage, sometimes even when no programs are running.

Any ideas on what next please. Apart from throwing out of the window and buying new..

    Many many thanks

I recently had the same symptoms and found it was the software for my scanner.. I disabled it and everything returned to normal . I then reinstalled the scanner software and still fine. For the life of me I can't remember how I determined it was the scanner tho. But I'll bet someone on here will give you the solution. good luck.
