System Restarting

My computer restarts itself every once in a while when I'm downloading files. Before it restarts I get a blue screen stop error but do not have enough time to read the error before the computer shuts down. I have been told before by someone else that it is because my computer isn't able to handle many connections to other computers/servers. Could to many connections be the reason for the restarts and if so how would I be able to fix it?

    Thanks in advance

It could well be the power supply, as this appears to happen whenever the computer is under load -- it freezes and thus the BSODs

Go to control panel, system, advanced, startup and recovery settings, and uncheck Automatically restart, when it shuts down again, the BSOD will stay on allowing you to read what it says.

i'm not sure if this IS the problem but it could be something that would make it do that

    Could it be heating issues?
perhaps if u havent thought of that issue download this

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/Core_Temp_d5665.html

moniter it's highest temp and see if that is the issue see if it happens when it reaches a temp because i know something similar happened to me and when my temp got to 128C i would stand by so basically shut off

if so you might want to check the dust content in ur PC and perhaps clean ur fans

    hope that helps

    Good luck

in addition to that would this still happen if u just turned on you comp and left it idel

do you have alot of programs running when it happens if so are these programs using alot of ram

    what are you comp specs

It only happens when I am using utorrent and am connected to many peers not when the system just remains idle. I will do the control plannel thing so I can read the screen next time it happens.

I have 19-20 processes running at a time and the stop error is

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    Stop: 0x0000000A (0x0003AAAE, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x804F8543)

My computer is a Pentium 2 455mhz, windows xp professional sp2, with 256mb of ram.

perhaps with the amount of ram u have in your computer you might want to try running less processes

Adrenalyne has the know how, if you can follow it -
Just one thing I would suggest, first- If you are downloading when this happens, your thoughts on leads, and connections could be worth checking- Also if you use an adsl modem, updating the driver can help, - same if dial up modem.
    Keep us posted.

    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.

    Arg2: 00000002, IRQL

bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)

I am not any good at debugging, but from it, I have managed to work out that it is utorrent that is causing it. I had a look around and the comodo site - it seems you need to allow port access- but read through this link.
Have you got comodo , as well as utoorent ? as it can also conflict- look around comodo site, if you have.
