    Hey Guys :wave

A recent System Restore operation attempt in Windows 7 has failed repeatedly. System Restore is turned on and at least three restore points are visible. The error message, a snapshot of which is hereby attached, indicates an error code of 0x80070005 and advises disabling AV software. Doing so was ineffective. Selecting an alternate restore point was likewise ineffective.

I also ran sfc/ scannow, and upon restart, subsequently attempted SR. That attempt was also unsuccessful.

The reason I have been trying to use SR is because a recent update of Adobe Flash caused repeated crashes while using FireFox. I removed Adobe Flash, and have been trying to revert my PC to a point in time earlier this week when the preceding version was in use.

Please assist me with any suggestions for how System Restore can be repaired. Thank you for your assistance.

If you have avast!, disable the self-protection in settings. Also, try the system restore in safe mode. If you do have avast and you do a system restore, you may have to reinstall avast or at least do a repair install using Add/Remove programs.
