system restore

hello all can anyone help. am trying to use system restore and have tryed every availibe restore point but when it finishs it always says unable to restore. using xp

 

First thing you could do is see that there is sufficient free disk space available on all the System Restore monitored partitions. For example if you are low on free space on your hard drive there won't be enough room for SR to operate properly.

 

I presume you are trying system restore to sort a problem?
SR does not always work, so describe the problem and some basic info about your system for more help.

i cannot be sure bit is the same problem i had last year but what i did was turn off system restore clear all restore points then used last known good configuration it did not solve the problem completely but allowed me to get to work with the OS mine is MS XP Home
