    Small memory dump, without auto-reboot.

Remove the tick on the auto-restart as you would need BSOD info just incase it re-boots. As to dumps, keep them as they're useful.

    EDIT: I'm too slow today.:-D

This is a setting for the debugging information. If you have frequent crashes then the complete memory dump may be useful. But as the log probably won't be of much use to most people it really shouldn't matter, just don't crash your system :-D :p

Basically this helps you diagnose persistent problems. If you don't have any crash issues you'll never use it. If you do, you may want to know as much information as you can. I recall that you like to set your paging system manually, if you chose the complete option make sure your paging system is bigger than your RAM and you'll be ok.

Wow Once again I'm impressed by every one's reply's. The reason I asked about this is I was working with a new software. The software is IObit Tool Box. I was using the feature Smart RAM deep clean, when I got a message that my OS was shutting down to protect Windows. Then I got a message that a mindump had been created. I contacted IObit Support and they asked for the mindump file. I sent it and they said they would get back to me and let me know if they needed any thing more. Sorry if my explanation isn't clear. That's the reason for starting this thread. I'm always trying to learn, and this is a great place top do that.

Yes sir. I have my paging file set at 1531. I have I GB of RAM, so I should be good if I understand your reply????

Thank you sir!! I will remove the tick on auto-restart. I think CCleaner has the option to clear these dumps. I have removed that tick.

Thanks everyone. You guys are great. I'll be back with more questions in the future???

If you still have the minidump, zip and attach it, I'll look it over for you.

Darn it!! I'm afraid I let CCleaner clean it. I have unticked that feature in CCleaner now, so it won't clean it again. I doubt that IObit would send it back to me, but I could ask them. Thank you for your offer. I will know what to do if it happens again. Maybe I could use that feature in IObit Tool Box again and get the mindump again. That kind a scares me when my OS shuts down!!
Thank you sir! If that ever happens again, you can bet I'll zip it to you!!
Maybe someone here could test the feature in IObit Tool Box and see if their OS shuts down. The first deep clean was OK, but the second one shut me down.;);):cry

Hello my friend! I may have found it. I will try to attach it!! I hope this works. I found it in a old email that I sent to IObit. This is way over my head. Good luck satrow.

Looks like you had a crash because of the overdose of security-related drivers loaded (just a guess), I see remnants of AVG and Avira, as well as OA, add those to the IOBit stuff you were installing ...

H! satrow. Thanks!! I haven't used AVG for years. I have completely uninstalled AVG. I have been using Avira for a long time. I only use Online Armor firewall free. I do not have any IObit stuff installed on my PC. I have IObit Tool Box installed on a thumb drive.:confused
Thank you for your efforts my friend. I sure don't have a clue what happened. I'm waiting for IObit Support to contact me. It's no big thing, just trying to help IObit get their bugs out.:major

My mistake oej, avgntflt.sys is actually from Avira, not AVG. Maybe the clash was somewhere else ...

Thanks, I'll use your key next time I do an install ^^

Edit: if you want to know more about the drivers that are loaded, search for Driverview in the MG downloads section.
