    Hi

I have gone through the steps to remove any malaware or virus problems I have had (see http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=1140973#post1140973). Your colleague is convinced any of these issues have now been removed.

However I have now got some real problems with the speed of the system. For example, at times when I want to switch between program or say different windows of firefox, I have to click on it three times before it responds. Opening even the list of programs from the start menu can take a couple of minutes let alone actually opening a program. Right clicking on an item to copy then paste it can also sometimes take some time. There is no great consistency to these problems in terms of how long things take, but things are definitely running slow.

I have now changed my startup to include only PC Tools Spy Doctor (paid) and Avast. While I still have SUPERAntispyware and a couple of the defrag tools installed, they are no longer running on start up.

Can you please advise as to what I should do next.

    :confused
