I have my RAID drivers floppy ready, but when I boot from WIN XP PRO CD, It stops before I get a chance to run the floppy.

It says: "No Hard drives are installed on your system" and tells me to run the HDD configuration software that comes with the HDD.

    I have already done this.

maybe I hooked it up wrong. My mobo has these slots: SATA 1/SATA2/RAID1/RAID2/RAID3/RAID/4

I hooked the HDD's up via SATA cables to these slots: RAID1/RAID2

    is this right?

OK nevermind all that, I had just missed my chance to hit f6. got it now.

    new question though:

When I choose where to install windows it gives me an opportunity to partition the HHD's. Do I need to do this a certain way to make RAID work?

or can I just partition each drive with the maximum space?

when I do that it makes one HDD the C" drive, and the other HDD the F" drive.

    is this right?
