I just upgraded two computers, one mine one a friends.

Now windows won't start, I get an 0X0000007B error on start. I'm getting this error on both machines.

    I upgraded a

    Giga-byte: GA-8S648FXM to a Giga-byte: GA-8IPE1000 Pro (Rev 2)

    and

    Giga-byte: GA-8IPE1000 Pro (Rev 2) to a MSI: RS482M4

All the Giga-Bytes are Pen 4 and the MSI is a S939 AMD 64bit

I think it's the old motherboard, and chipset drivers, any one have any ideas, i'm just about fresh out, maybe a driver stipper would work but I don't know of any.

    Thank you.

You have to reinstall windows when upgrading your mobo. This might involve having to format your hard drive so make sure you have back-ups or lyou'll ose all the previous data. Remember to install the drivers for the new boards as well.
