The problem has only started recently and I have no idea what to do.
I was just browsing the net and everything was still working fine, as far as I know. I only use Tab when registering for websites and ALT+Tab. Then I decided to start playing a video game, I opened the game and went to alt+tab back to get a playlist going. Nothing happened so I thought it was just a common bug that happens with the specific game that happens randomly somtimes. But then when I closed the game I was still unable to alt+tab, or even use tab at all for that matter.

I've tried all I can but nothing seems to work. I know its not the keyboard, firstly its about 3 days old. It's a Razer BlackWidow ( blue switch ). I just got it out of the box brand new. I've done nothing harmful at all to the keyboard, I've even gone as far as to cover it with a towel when I'm eating or drinking around it. I've taken off the Tab key to see if anything was jamming it but, nothing is.

I've done a system restore and then it worked for about 1 minute and stopped working again( Each time I reboot it works for about 30 - 45 seconds then stops ), I downloaded and merged some registry files that were said to have solved some peoples problems, but it did nothing at all. At one point after about the 3rd reboot the tab key started acting as if I was holding it down the entire time and I could not stop it so I was forced to hold the power switch on my computer to force it to shut down. I don't know what other information I can add.

The Computer itself is about 2 months old and I can't think of anything harmful I may have done to it, maybe I'm just using to many of the USB ports at once. There are 8 overall USB ports and I am using 5 at once. Speakers, Mouse, Keyboard ( and keyboard lighting ), and a Graphic Tablet. I can't think of anything else to add, but its very important to me that I am able to fix the problem. I can most likely adjust to not having alt+tab but its unthinkable how tedious it would be to quit every game I'm currently playing that runs in full sreen only just to close a pop up or an ad, or change a video I'm playing in the background etc etc. Please if anybody has any idea at all how I can fix this please tell me..

Again there is no problem with the keyboard it is nearly brand new and nothing has every happened that could be harmful to it.

Hi and welcome to the forum

What Windows version and Service Pack are you using? may seem daft to ask but solutions in the majority of cases depend on what Windows you are using as fixes are different for each, could depend on the registry key HIVE locations to Windows file > folder structure.

When you say some registry files, can you link to them so we can see what keys they are changing?

I would try this random fix and Press and hold the Alt-key Press 0 0 9 (0 = zero numerical) then release the Alt key after pressing 009

Also try changing your keyboard layout to another countries and then change back, could fix a gremlin in the works.
