Tables (HTML)

I gots me a good question.

when I use frames I can target another frame from a hyperlink in a different frame and have it show a picture in the new frame.

can I do that with tables.

If I had a cell that had links in it and a cell above it could I target that cell to open pictures when a hyperlink is clicked in the orginal cell?

I'm asking if you or anyone can help me do what I was asking,

Perhaps someone has a code or something,

I can't use asp yet but I do use javascript, but don't know how to build it myself yet as that class was closed this sememster do to low enrollment so I'm hoping to take it next semester but it is not even offered next semester so we have a petition to add it to the schedule.

Now, if you know of a javascript that will do that (target a cell in a table) I would be happy to use it. I just don't know how to build them, yet.

Just because I can't write script doesn't mean I don't need it do finish a project.
