Tablet and Router won't connect

I have a Netgear WGT624v3 wireless router. I recently got a Pandigital white tablet running Android 2.0.

The tablet will connect through WiFi hotspots with no problem. BUT, it will not connect through my router. When I try to connect it says "connecting" for a few seconds and then says "disconnected".

I have tried just about everything I can think of to fix this problem. There is obviously something about the router that makes it refuse to allow the tablet to connect to the Internet.

I reset the router to factory defaults, no connection. I set the router with no security, no connection. I entered the tablet MAC address as a valid device in the router, no connection.

I sure would appreciate any suggestions that anyone could provide.
