I just recently DLed the huge update for IE 9 and now my tabs will not load. The page pops up and just remains blank with the previous pages URL in the address bar. I have tried disabling all add-ons, rendering in software instead of GPU, running the Regsvr32 actxprxy.dll as an admin, and resetting all IE options in tools. I have not been able to find other solutions in my searches. Thank you for any help.

    Hi

As IE9 is a beta or RC which is not a final version it can be prone to issues, hence why the caveate is to not use a test version in production, but what I would do is fully uninstall IE9 and run CCleaner and its cleaner and registry cleaner (run the registry one until nothing lists) and then reboot and re-install IE9 RC from HERE

If you run in Safe Mode with Networking does IE9 work ok?

What Security apps do you have installed and if you disable them does IE9 work ok?

Your Windows version and service pack is? and what bit is it 32bit or 64bit?

I turned off my Webroot software (best I could anyway, there is no shutdown option on it), and safe mode with networking did not work either. I am running Windows 7 64 bit with build 7601 service pack 1. Anything else before I try re-installing? Thank you.

Ugh, my favorites bar is gone as well. Link are still in the favorites folder, but the bara itself is gone.

EDIT-Nevermind, that was an easy fix.

Edits are timed huh? If it helps at all, I can right click the buttons on my favorites bar and get those to open properly in a new tab.

Well, I tried this http://iefaq.info/index.php?action=artikel&;cat=42&id=133&artlang=en during all steps of uninstalling the update, re-installing IE9, and even performing a system restore to before the date I installed the update. The tabs still won't work. That link there is what I used the first time I DLed IE9 and it had this problem. It worked that time, but isn't this time. Any suggestions to fix this? Thanks

    Alright good news! Last post!

Also, it seems that when I DLed the update (or maybe it's completely unrelated, I don't honestly know) a "new" version of IE became available. So, the usual version I used was titled "Internet Explorer" and that was the one not loading tabs. I was poking around some other websites and found some obscure place that said to try and run IE as the Admin. Easy enough to try so I went to go do that. But then! I noticed a "Internet Explore (64-bit)" icon! Never noticed two instances before, so I tried it, and voila, tabs work again under the 64 bit version.

So, anyone else that might come upon this problem, that is what fixed it for me, this time.

And I forgive you Major Geeks! You've helped me plenty of times in the past before.
