Task manager help please

Hope this question is in the right forum....

I'm recently having problems with the task manager. This is the one that pops up when I ctl/alt/del. Not sure what the proper name for it is. Until recently, there were several tabs (buttons) across the top where I could switch from task manager, to processes or performance, etc. Well those buttons have disapeared and all I have now is the task manager itself. No buttons are there for the others. Even the 'x' and '-' have gone so once it is open it cannot be closed or minimized. Any help would be appreciated in restoring it to the way it was. Thanks....

A minor correction....

I can actually close the task manager by right clicking and closing the 'cpu useage' icon in the task bar.

 

Try THIS:
Open Taskmanager and double click any edge...top, bottom, either side...doesn't matter.
(I've been there before)

Edit: I belive Toni_1947 has the correct answer.

 

That's one weird program. Open it up & using the different tabs double click on it. Anywhere will do. Each tab seems to do it's own thing.
