Task Manager / Search Screen

Running the Task Manager or the "Start, Search, Files or Folders" programs in W2K does not show them on the screen. They do appear in the Task bar at the bottom. Right clicking either will not maximize from their minimized state. I can only close the programs, that's it. I had a similiar problem recently with WMedia Player which I fixed by setting X and Y coordinates in the registry HKCU/...mediaplayer/preferences to zero.

Does anyone have a solution to my current problem? Is there a similiar solution in registry that may do the trick??
