Task Manager

I have a lot processes on my task manager.
1) How can determine what each one is----some I know what they are, but others. like. "issch.exe, or ZCfgSvc.exe I got no idea what they are and what they do.
2) If you "end the processes" in the task manager, exactly what happens?
3) my reasoning for checking the task manager was, the laptop was taking some time to boot up and to turn off.

Information on the two processes you mentioned:

ZCfgSvc.exe

issch.exe

<-- exactly what it says..the process will end, and can be restarted again when you start up that particular program....You can end a process if an application is hanging..or if its malicious...etc

A simple Google search will lend information on what processes are if you are unsure, this site is very good

OK,
I will disable some of them, and see how things go, and then after that I will disable one at time to verify how my pc is acting. The ones about the wireless, I am connecting thru a router.
So,I thank you for all your time and appreciate the patience that showed!

And yes I got your message about the restore point.
I have been using it when I make any kind of major change, and I will surely do with this, BUT, THANK YOU on the heads up on it!
