(XP Pro, SP 3) My Task Manager does not seem to be functioning properly. When I open it, ctrl/alt/delete, it shows only Task and Status on the header and what is running. On the bottom, it has only functions "end task", "switch to" and "new task". It has no other functions on the header such as cpu usage, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi

If your taskmanager looks like this below, double click quickly the area I have arrowed, the grey boarder bit

Also if the menu titles at top are showing click View > Select columns and choose the info you need.

Thanks, guys. That was it. I guess I must have doubled clicked that grey area in error. :)

    My thanks as well.

I haven't tested the fix yet, but I've been searching for Malware thinking that something robbed me of task manager. All that trouble to remove an XP 'feature' :-o
