task scheduler

    I can not get my MS task shedule program to work at all. HELP!:confused

    Hi

    What Windows version and Service Pack you using?

    What error messages do you get when trying to access Task Scheduler?


    Try this info http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308558 mainly in checking the service is running (have you been tweaking the Service list?)

    The new task has been created, but may not run because the account information could not be set
    The specific error:
    0x80070005:access denied
    Try using the task browse button to locate the application.

    Windows XP...Service pack 3

    I don't know what you mean by tweaking the service list, so I would have to say no.

    Hi

    Does your XP user account have a password? if not Task Scheduler needs one set or IIRC you can set the account to autologon with Powertoys for XP and get the TweakUI component installed and when open the Autologon setting is in the Logon ~ Autologon menu.
