Hey all, any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm running IE6 sp1, Win Me. The problem is, a few days ago I noticed my clock was gone in my task bar. I tried enabling it in taskbar properties with no luck. The check was applied and still no clock. If I place my mouse over the area where the clock would be, I get the date. Same as I would if it was there. It's just not visible. Any ideas? Maybe my video card or something like that.. I believe I need a new card, cause of some other problems but i'm not aware of the card i have.

    thanks in advance....Lolli

What is your time format in the regional settings (Start/Control Panel/Regional Settings) on your computer? Could there be an odd setting or value there?

I wouldn't have thought that your video card that affects this. Did you install anything recently that could affect the display of time on your taskbar?

    You can say that again!

I think you are onto something their GLS... when in the past I have messed with different fonts, some have made the clock unreadable or disapear.... I guess its still there otherwise the date AFAIK wouldnt show when you hover over it?

I guess we await an answer on the skinning question.

I would also just to make sure untick Show Clock > Apply and then retick it and click Apply... you just never know!

A little late lolli, but check out this page at TechTV. Among other things taskbar repair does is fix disappearing clocks. :)

Hey all, sorry took so long to answer. Nope no skinning, and i've the the taskbar properties, nothing works... Only thing I have done, was installed two new programs. Hallmark Scrapbooking, and Photo Explosion. I'm running Win Me. so i've done a system restore back to a point before I installed the softwear. ( the softwear was gone when i restored ). and still no luck... and today I realized that when checking history, and right clicking on a link, it usually tells the "date and time last visited" .. the time is gone, only shows a date.. i'll go check that link now. And thanks :)

Thanks to all who replied, i hope it's still not to late for an answer.

    Take care all, Lolli

    Lolli,

Maybe you have been hi-jacked. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=3155

Run this test and look for anything "clock" or post it and maybe someone with more experience than me could determine if you have problems. It does happen...worth a try and good luck.
