Taskbar Help

Hi,

Yesterday whilst surfing the net the websites I had visited were being saved in an oblong box on the left of the taskbar. The box said Internet Exp and a number was displayed corresponding to the number of pages stored. When I clicked on the box up popped all the sites for me to choose from.
This box had never been there before and on re logging on this morning it has disappeared. Can anyone tell me how to get it back and keep it there?

Hmmm... what version of Internet Explorer? What version of Windows? When you refer to "an oblong box on the left of the taskbar", do you mean in the QuickLaunch area next to the Start button, in the bottom left corner of the desktop? In any case, I think it was some type of IE add-on and AFAIK add-ons weren't available for Internet Explorer before IE7. I don't use IE7 or 8 (I use Firefox almost exclusively) so I can't provide a step-by-step, but I know there's a place in the Internet Options settings (go to Control Panel > Internet Options) that will list all the add-ons installed and allows you to enable/disable them. You might want to look through Add/Remove Programs too just to see if something is listed there that you're not aware of (it happens). For all I know, the feature you describes could be built-in to new releases of Internet Explorer 8, and I'd be totally unaware 'cuz I use Firefox for 98% of my internet usage..... anyway, I hope I helped a little rolleyes Be patient and I'm sure someone else with more info will stop in.
