taskbar

the taskbar in the right hand corner sometimes freezes, I can still click on the icons and everything, but the arrow to click to show all icons dissapears and turns the lighter blue color in the right as opposed to the left, so it looks like it's still there, it goes away once I click unlock taskbar and drag it down and back up. any fix for this? problem coming from my computer or xp? also I think NAV NIS cause alot of unexpected errors, when I'm shutting down could it have to do with that?

The reason for the freezing and disappearing Icons is because most likely SSDP Discovery Service and UPnP are 'Started' and 'Enabled' in Services.msc. Go into Services.msc and stop both along with disabling them.
