TCP Firewall.. how do i turn the firewall off?

    hey guys,
    my online programs such as World of Warcraft keep telling me that i am behind a firewall, except i have turned all the firewalls i have off, i have gone through the services and msconfig but nuthin i do seems to take it off
    i dont know what to do because its reducing my speed and im gettin major pings..

    some on rescue me!! plz

    It is possible that your Router is what is causing the report. If you are using a router, you are behind NAT, which acts like a Firewall. Also, your ISP could be using a Firewall to protect their users. When I was on Green County CaTV Highspeed, they used a Firewall on their WAN network to protect the users.

    What type of router do you have?

    im using a Netcomm NB1 ADSL2+ Modem router

    Most likely your Router is using NAT, which is why you are getting the TCP Firewall error. Are you trying to set up a server with WOW?

    no im not trying to set up a server, its just preventing me from connecting to some servers ie:eek:nline games, i disabled NAT and my connection failed.. i really have no idea what to do
