TEAC DVD+RW DV-W583 (Not Reconizing)

I am having a big problem with my DVD drive. Out of the blue it just disappeared from the 'My Computer Area'. I checked the connections in the back (ok) and the jumper pins (Set on default) I havent touched them.

Also I had Alcohol 120% (adds a virtual drive) and that disappeared to. I unistalled and reinstalled the driver and it just says: (in properties)

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Can anyone help me here? "also if u can send me a link to re-download the driver that would be good too.

For the DVD drive I would suggest a firmware update.

As for Alchohol 120%; have you used any registry cleaners lately? If you have, find the backup .reg files and double click them all, look in the default install directory.
Or try a complete reinstall of the program.

If that is the case then your drive, cable or motherboard could have a problem, i'm not the right person to ask about that.

 

Its not a problem with the cables or motherboard because alcahols emulated cdrom doesnt work anymore. Even after reinstalling. Is there any chance that this could be spyware or something?
