    the rest of your sound works, right?

    if so, the sound card drivers seem to be ok. double click the speaker icon in your taskbar (next to the time) and it will open the Play Control. Go to Options>Properties and click the radio button in the "Adjust Volume For" box that says Recording.

    make sure Microphone is checked in the box below and then click ok.
    Now you should see the microphone level. Click the box underneath to select the microphone, and up the level to its highest. if there is a screech, click on advanced and get rid of the +10dB boost, if not, leave it alone.

    see if that fixes anything

    cant' you check your mic with sound recorder? don't think there's anything wrong with your mic, tho
    maybe you soundcard crawled out of it's socket a bit?

    in teamspeak, what are your settings like? go to Settings>options

    if you have more than one input and output device, try changing it.

    if everything fails to work, change the Sound Driver to Wav instead of Direct Sound.

    tried that. it doesnt pick anything up,at all.

    i did have it on direct,so i changed that.
    now as for the more than one input/output device. there is "Primary Sound Capture Driver" which i use and "Santa Cruz(tm)" and
    " modem #1 line record" which after i switch to that, i get th error message" OpenDevice Attempted to open with an unsupported waveform-audio format." and " WaveInOpen Attempted to open with an unsupported waveform audio format."

    i think its workin now:confused: im actually hearing ppl. + i recorded myself and wmp actually played it back.
    as for settings in ts, heres what they are now.
    i moved the direct buffer size back to the middle.
    using primary sound capture device.
    and direct sound.

    hopefully this stays workin.lol
