THis does not show up in ccleaner, only in my Norton firewall under 'manage firewall>program rules'.
I would like the teamvier v5 uninstaller .
Google shows sites where you have to join.

If TeamViewer is installed on your computer it is uninstalled in the same way as any other program - through Control Panel or Start menu. If it isn't in either place it isn't installed - not completely anyway.

    >>I see it in Norton as I explained and would like to be rid of it.
I will see if Norton has an answer.
    Thank you anyway

It is a permission in Norton that was not removed when TeamViewer was previously uninstalled. Can't you just edit the Norton permissions?

    Hi Peter

What Norton version do you have?

But in general its open the firewall rules (likely iirc in Firewall settinsg and Programs/Program Control tab) up and click the entry you wish to remove and click remove/delete, maybe a button called remove/delete or you right click the entry and choose remove/delete.

    >Norton Security Suite 3.8.0.41. At a glance,I misread 'remove' for 'rename'.
Problem is solved with the remove.
I wanted you to know I am much happier with Norton than with McAfee especially the frequent update of definitions. I disabled a couple of sections but for the most part, am comfortable with it.
Also, I am getting along with Acronis TI Home 2010 for the desktop, but, found a program for free I much prefer called Macrium Reflect. I use it for my laptop and they share the 1t external hard drive.

    Hi Peter

Great news on this firewall issue (Norton in the new versions is much better IMHO that older versions of Norton as its less resource hungry and does have a few good options, wouldnt run it myself as I prefer Avast, each to their own.. but if Symantec wish to give me a free version to test I would do), and with your other ones, yes Macrium reflect is a good free application and one I will have linked to in many threads with EaseUS ToDo as well as they are both good free alternatives to Acronis, although I still do use Acronis on my main PCs.

    >>I was tempted to use Easeus but I found, in the fine print, it requires a floppy. B/c they are on their way out I opted for a cd.
I'm lucky my rescue cd worked out.
I had two choices and that Bart appeared pretty confusing. The one I chose was ez and it works.

    Hi Peter

I computing the easy route is always the best, so stick with it, especially if it works for you.
