What technology do you believe would benefit high school special education students in the classrooms?

Any new items on the market that you feel todays teachers should learn and become familiar with?

    Hi

I believe that in a year or so's time the likes of Microsoft Kinect (motion control) will help students with various disablities to take advantage of computing more.

Maybe touch computers or pads in the likes of the iPad, Microsoft Surface (the latter is expensive), i have played with Surface and ist a fantastic tool to use for learning, the demos I was at MSFT to see where dealing with the medical side, but for teaching and having hands on it could be a great tool.

but whatever technology it for me needs to be hands on for the pupil as it creates a sense of joining in.

Abandon the failure of "no child left behind" and again allow a child to EXCEED on a test instead of learning how to test to make a school look good at funding time.
