Teddy Bears

What did you call your Teddy Bear; my little fellow had glass eyes that were decidedly out of line. My big sister christened him Gladly. She said it came from the bible “GLADY MY CROSS I’D BEAR.

I had a dog shaped like a human who I imaginatively named 'dog'.

I hadn't seen him since I was 4 or something until we dug out some stuff from the loft when I was a young teen,I did what every caring child would do when confronted with his childhood friend.

I made a hole in him,got the biggest air bomb firework I had and blew him apart.

Poor Dog,he's with Allah now.

Prolly embedded in the wall.:-D Cuddly animals didn't fare so good around me once I was introduced to potassium perchlorate and aluminium powder.

Whoa, I didn't get my first teddy bear until I was an adult! :-o I didn't name any of them, they just sit on my dresser, looking pretty. One holds some jewelry for me (of course I can trust him ) I take good care of mine, have had them for a few years now... I know, better late than never tho...

I named mine Bear (very creative, I know), and he still sleeps in my bed. I don't have to hold him or anything, but he must be on my bed or I can't sleep.

 

I gave all my Bears to my grandson who is 2 now. I had my special Bear that I took to the hospital when I had my cancer surgery, he even went into the OR with me! When I got home I would sleep with him every night.

I think maybe it is time to get a new bear!

 

Like TeeCee no stuffed animals. Lots and lots of dolls. My parents always made sure I got a new one each year(doll):confused(would have preferred a football and helmet or baseball gloverolleyes) Now I have tons of stuffed animals.:-DI sleep with my froggy named "Froggy" of course. He's actually a big comfortable pillow. I have to watch my other half, as he sometimes snags froggy and falls a sleep with him before I go to bed.:major But I won't try to take him back until morning. Since I bought him a little reindeer, he doesn't snag as much. Still snags thoughLOL

 

My beloved stuffed animal companion was a leopard I named Maja. I still have her, and will never get rid of her.

Nope, she's the regular spotted kind. With one green eye left... she lost the other a long long time ago. She's still soft and snuggly though.

 

Many years ago...when I was about 4 or 5, my uncle gave me a purple bear with a white plastic muzzle and it was half the size of me. It was my very best friend. I tragically lost him one day. I came home from school and my bear was gone. I asked my mother where it went and she said that she put it in the garbage... I quickly ran outside, but it was too late ! The Garbage truck had passed by...:cry

I never named it, but it still remains in my traumatic sad file ingrained in my memory banks.

Not at all. I have that avatar because I like the way it looks. Now that I think about it, it also looks a bit like my cat...

Let's see, there's Brownie, and Goldie. Goldie's got a music box that plays a lullaby. I intend to pass them down. Along with my Pikachu.

 

I've had the same bear now for the last 24 years, and his name is Clint. Poor Clint has been involved in more than he should... Airborne and Air Assault schools, Combat Medic school, Mountain/Dessert/Jungle/Swamp survival schools, four combat zones, and now a four-year-old and a two-year-old! heheh
