teeny destop picture

I built a computer for a friend and sent it several states away to her. I had it working perfectly here and using the exact same monitor that she has, however, once she recieved it and hooked it up, the picture on the desktop was real small. I had her check the setting, they were the same as I had them set here, OK. I had her uninstall and reinstall the driver for the monitor, after rebooting, it worked until she shut down for the night then the next morning, it was the same, real small, after she turned it back on.
I don't see why it would need a new driver when it didn't need one here with the exact same monitor. It is a Gateway EV700, the motherboard is a Gigabyte-GA-7N400 Pro2. The AGP is an Nvidia Vanta XL.
Anyone have any ideas on what the problem is?

 

make sure refresh rate,is not resetting on it's own, there are programs on the web you can download that will set it pernamently.

if you have checked resolutions,refresh rate,monitor drivers, and refresh force program, go ahead and try new video card drivers,if that doesn't work try swapping out the monitor.
