Temp File Directory

This is my first post and new member. The windows/Temp Directory seem to be storing a copies of all my email that I read, History and cookies dat files, and Temporary Internet dat files.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening. I do not like having that iformation in the Temp directory for fear of it being tracked by other programs.

I use WIN98SE, Zonealarm, Outlook Express, Antvir and spybot.

Hi AJ,
This may be just what you're looking for. Run it every session and it cleans out all the crap -- as its name implies.

Each one finds stuff that the previous one/ones miss. EmpTemp has to be run manually, though. It's pretty simple to use. I run all 3 after every session. Bazza

Thanx Baz. Was gonna reccommend the other two but had to leave for a minute, glad you picked up the slack Only thing further I'd reccommend is to run Cleanup! at the end of the session. That way you don't have to reboot and hang around to complete the cleaning, just shut her down.

I'll find out tonight. I haven't got the chance to try them. I opened the programs up to start exploring what they can or can't do. I will be reading the help files later on.


I just want to make sure I don't do anything that I'll regret later.
