temp files

I have got a bunch of temp files left from old apps. I've done a forum search and come up with this cleaner http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1283 free that should do the job. These are NOT temp internet files. My question is: how does one navigate to them, and then how does one delete them? I've noticed these files for some time while doing scans and I would like to get rid of them. My OS is WinME. I feel like a dummy, I should know this. I've had this puter for 4 years and have never cleaned this out. Thanks for any help.

 

Have you checked C:\windows\temp ?

I haven't. If that is the route I can get there with windiows explorer, correct? If so, how do I delete the files?. In reading other threads I should leave any files that are less than five days old, is this correct?

This application found 1,618 files/folders. I'm amazed...cleared up over 2G of space on the HDD. Thanks once again gang. Bocce
