Temp Folder

Well I was looking at my temp folder.

C:\DOCUME~1\USER~1\LOCALS~1 <--(edited)

Anyway and it's annoyingly big.....

1.41 GB (1,516,688,140 bytes)

Anyway I want to know if it's safe to delete stuff in their? Or is there some program to do it? Well Thanks In Advance!

yes, there is something in windows which clears temps, which you dont need
Start>Programs>System Tools>Disk cleanup.

 

Well anything better than disclean up? I would use it if it wouldn't just stop....I even went to eat breakfast and get back and still same place where I left it at. "Compress old files," hmm maybe I have so many that why it's taken long.....

 

change your internet cache settings.. I bet it's extraordinarily high..

 

Nope it's only 70 mb......and I empty it out like every week or so.

 

what's the full path? It's kind of difficult to determine what garbage is in the folders if I don't know the full path.

Reza is my name......just to let you know and I'm the only one who uses this computer so I am the admin or whatever.

 

all that stuff is safe to delete.. at any time..

 

So...like I have a few questions......
Why is it there?
What does it do?
And I can delete the folders inside of that with random numbers as the name?

 

it's a temporary directory that is used when you download and install software,. Usually when something has been unpacked. ALL FILES / FOLDERS can be removed safely.
