temp on 6600 gt

i have a 6600 gt in another pc and i cant seem to find out its temp

how could i do this

 

If you install Coolbits, it will give you Temperature Settings in the Display Properties. What drivers are you running now?

 

or try out riva tuner

well the SA6600G doesnt have a temp sensor

i guess thats what i get for only getting the gt not the gt oc lol

 

All video cards have had sensors in em for a very long time; especially a card thats in the 200$ range, its not exactly a feature since all cards carry them...

 

Every Nvidia card I've had since the GeForce2 GTS has had a temp sensor.

 

like the others say, there actually IS a sensor.. but in your case it might be that your cards bios doesnt support it.. only way to fix this i think is to get another bios for it...you might have some luck over here:

the only bios in there is the same one i got

any other way to find a good bios that wont mess up the card

I have a 6600GT and I'm having a nightmare with it. It runs very nicely but its temperature rises to as much as 95 degrees!!! I need to put a cooler onto it or repair it somehow. Any ideas people?

 

95 F or 95C??

 

it must be 95C... u should try to get those temps down by using some Arctic Silver 5 or another good thermal compound. often reseating or cleaning the dust off a heatsink can make a big difference. if none of that work u should check ur pc if it has good airflow... whats ur ambient temp?
i would only buy a new cooler if all the above options fail...
