I already know that there is software and hardware to monitor temperature inside the computer but they work seperatly. What I am wondering is if there is any software that will read the temperature of the computer and send that information to a piece of hardware where I can monitor it. The reason I want something like this is because 1) it makes life easier for me when connecting the hardware, and 2) because when I am playing a game I don't want to have to minimize it just to check the temperature.

If anyone knows of something like this please let me know. Thank you.

What your looking for is a display for your case that works off of the built in temp sensors?

    Re: Temperature monitoring

You can view real time temps a couple way's ( without interrupting game play)

One way is dual monitor setup, I've seen some guys even use small LCD's, some have modded into the front or side of their case.

Another way is use a G15 Keyboard it has a small LCD screen which is capable of displaying your temps & other info

Both ways require using utilities like Everest, Rivi tuner,MBM5 there are other's too

Here's much info, Enjoy :major http://www.diy-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=6798&highlight=MBM5

well i'm not looking to buy a new keyboard just to get the temps, i was thinking of modding my own into the case but i was trying to save myself some work lol but i'll consider your suggestions, thanks

does anyone else have other suggestions?

The temperature monitors that come w/ sensors aren't hard to setup, however they're not going to read as exact as the ones built into your hardware.

I know they aren't hard to setup, but its definitely a lot more work to setup than using a combination of software and hardware. Well I think I have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to do now. Thanks guys.
