Temperature Sensor Help

Hi

Does anyone know where I can buy a temperature sensor for my HDD? The situation is that I have bought a casetek IQ EYE case which came with sensors for HDD, CPU & SYS that sends the data to a screen on front of case. The only thing is I have managed to damage the HDD one and now I can not find the same sensor anywhere - not even from casetek!!!!

It is basically a piece of wire with a flat orange bit on the end, link below for a piccy

On the other end is a female two pin connector that looks similar to a fan connector.

If I am unable to replace this one does anyone know how I can get another sensor that will work??

If your hard drive has a built in thermomiter then try this little utility - http://www.hddtemp.com/home/download.html

I use it and it's very useful.

 

I have one for you! It's from a broken antec variable-temp fan, i still have the fan and it's got one of those orange temperature sensors attached (it's the fan's ball-bearings that are broken).

If you're really desperate, buy a cheap variable-temp casefan for about 3-4 dollars and you have one of those sensors attached.

 

Cheers for the help guys - the utility thing looks good but not for me as this sensor feeds information directly to a colour LCD screen on the front of my case that is why I need it so bad.

How’s about to save me the hassle of buying a fan I just pay you £5 via paypal and you send me the sensor of your broken fan??????
