Text to small - Please please help me

Hi there, p.c. crashed and had to wipe it clean and then re-install everything. Now the writing (text) on the screen is really, really small (it was not before it crashed). I have gone into properties and the sizes and got the largest I can get. These are o.k. when not on line but when I go on line the internet is so small, even with my glasses on, I strain my eyes to read it. There just seems nothing I can do to make the writing on the internet bigger. I have a genuine copy of windows. I have a Dell Dimensions p.c. I am not very good with p.c. and would really appreciate it if somebody could tell me what I can do. Thank you so very much
