TFT, a blackout waiting to happen!

This is an appeal from AMDxp,
I suspect most of us have them, I expect the others want them,
I have one, IIYAMA E380S 15" (its not size that matters its what you do with it that counts)
I imagine this thing uses either 4 or 2 cold cathode flourescents at the edges,
what i want to know is .. when one finally does go, where does one get a replacement?
or does one not bother and takes the thing apart, places it on a fan cooled overhead projector and uses that as a projector monitor?
