Isn't that a week??!!!

Sadly it's friday, deadline of my IT coursework. I handed it in yesterday and he turned around and basically bit my head off saying how crap it was and how can you expect a good mark.

You're the tutor boyo, help me!!!!

Friday - yes, another day. Again. Works to do. Many of. Argh!

 

That's what I want to look like when I'm about 85.

Well, any Friday off of work is a "good" Friday I guess. I get today off because of chemo dose yesterday. I'll take it.

Good Friday to boot for Christians, Passover for the Jews, and a work day for most.

 

Big union. I get Friday and Monday off.

Then it's up to BC's gas country for a few days.

 

This is one Friday I don't enjoy this year Currently sat in Portland Airport awaiting the boys flight back to England.

At least we can kill time playing games at MGs now I have the laptop though

 

Pay day, rent day, and tax day for me.

 

Big union here, too. But I don't get any time off this weekend...but I do get paid double-time on Sunday.

 

No time off for Easter?

I don't get paid overtime. Ever. I work true flex time. I work the hours I want, when I want to, so long as my hour bank remains in the black. It's great, but sometimes I wish I had the money.

 

Nope, we're doing a show this week. I pretty much never have Easter, New Year's or Thanksgiving off, sometimes I have to work Christmas as well. But we get paid double.

There is no such thing as flex time at my job. If there's a show, we're working. If there's not, we're not. There are no set hours. After 8 in a day or 40 in a week is overtime (often, I get both on a check, although we're not allowed to pyramid...that's what happens when you do 80+ hours in a week). So I do get the money, but in exchange for it I don't get all the holidays.

 

Hey Sgt. Tibbs, Don't mean to get off topic here...but just curious what it is you do, you're always talking about shows!?!?!

Theatre work can be hard work but fun and rewarding at the end.

Sunday is first full day off in 54 days, brought some work home though, I hate not having a life sometimes. Planting season is here, we are almost done shipping and I am looking forward to a couple weeks of vacation.

 

martinch..............I used to deliver seed corn in central Illinois many yrs ago. Was a real hassle bout this time of yr.

Actually, I am very firmiliar with it!!

I am one of the major players in a huge festival we have on memorial day weekend, in my hometown. I've had the honors to work with a lot of the big ones, such as, Blake Shelton, Dixie Chicks (we changed their name to Dixie Bi***es), Confederate Railroad, Billie Currington, The Fortunes, Survivor, Starship, just to name a few!! I know some of them are has beens, but if you like their music, it was kind of cool to be right there as one of them!!!!

That was the worst and hardest Friday I have had in a long time. The boys flight back to the UK, connecting via Chicago, was delayed, and delayed and delayed....due to T storms in Chicago. Nothing was going in and nothing was going out. As they were travelling alone I had to pull them from the flight as I didn't want them stuck in Chicago alone, and bunk down until 7.30am the next morning and start again the next day trying to get them home. very little sleep for me...lots of stress, on top of current medical problems. I collapsed when I finally got home Saturday afternoon and my husband had to put me to bed. He's such a sweetie

Saying goodbye to your kids sucks....having to say goodbye to them twice in two days really sucks

 

Well, cool! Usually I have to explain.

I just finished a week of Movin' Out (the Billy Joel/Twyla Tharp musical) about a half hour ago. Starting Tuesday, I'll be doing Phantom of the Opera through May 14.

Thank god it's MONDAY!! My only day off! (although this one really wasn't, as I had a meeting 80 miles from home for most of the day).
