Thanks Chaslang for helping me get rid of About Blank and Coolwebsearch.

Ill stop posting in this thread but I left out exactly what I did to finally rid of the issue(s) and someone else may want to read yet one more posters method in the spirit of info sharing:

I followed all the steps in the Basic spyware, hijack, trojan removal thread.

I then ran Hijackthis in safe mode, linked to the site that Mr Attitude called "a website located here" in his Hijackthis tutorial and had it analyze lines (this was INSANELY HELPFUL to me as I know very little about even the most basic comp issues) and had Hijackthis remove 6 of the 7 lines (couldnt remove one particular 04 line).

Ive run a few reboots and scans and Coolwebsearch seems to be gone.
