So whats with the 2 line sig limit i think its a little annoying, i like it when people post their system stats in their sig it makes it easier to trouble shoot and we can show off our rigs. Will we always have this limiter?

A few posts in this and MAs will spell out the 2 line sig limit that was introduced a while back, members like you will them already get to keep it unless you change your specs and well them you become subject to the limit

I have 4 PCs, and if listed the specs of them and everyone did same, then we would spend most of our time scrolling past them.

    Long sigs are annoying.

I had no idea there was a limit, but I've got to say, I'm glad after being at many boards and having to do just as Halo said...scroll.

I concur sometimes sig limits were too long but maybe there should be instead like a 6 line limit, yeah i was here way before they enforced the 2 line limie so I got "grandfathered" in, I just wish I could change some of the specs. I wouldn't mind trimming off some of my specs. to make it more user friendly.

I dont think specs should be allowed in signatures at all, to be honest.

I find them annoying, and most of the people who have them in their signature are more tehnical than others, and have them there to brag, not to inform.

I agree wuth Halo and adryn's post but as its set no you can only fill half the line in the sig box,if it were extended to three to four lines in user options it would still only take up one line in the sig box and the same space, bandwidth allowing

Amen, and hallelujah. No one wants to spend the better part of their day scrolling past huge sigs on every single post someone makes, especially someone who posts a lot. Nearly every board I go to has a limit on signatures for that very reason: User complaints.

Besides which...be honest now...does anybody actually read anything in anyone else's sig? I had to look at my post just now to confirm that I did, in fact, have one. I'd forgotten my own...I surely don't look at anyone else's. :D

I had those settings and then wondered why I couldn't see my sig I knew I had. Took me a bit to figure that one out.LOL

haha..actually I do if I find the poster interesting.

The sigs I DON'T read are the one with system specs...

Perhaps I would if I was more active in the help forums, but... The people who need help usually don't post their specs in their sig.

I tend to read a sig that is very short, no more than 1 line, or 2 short lines. Longer than that and I'll scroll down to the next post instead! :D

2 Lines are plenty, although a way to make the divider line extend the length of the text would be handy.

IMO the place to post specs (and brag) is in the profile. I also like gender designations, but that's me. I hate guessing, cause I'm usually wrong.

roflmao Every single time I've had to guess, I've been wrong about the gender thing. I'll come across a post where the person is actually referred to as he or she and it's kinda like 'huh?'.
