    hello my fellow computer pros,
i have several computer issues i'm in direee need to solve. I hope these problems aren't as severe as you might perceive the title to be.

** I use a DELL, Windows XP home edition.

    1) PF Usage
Since a month back, my pf usage has been unreasonably high (i have heard) at roughly around 500 mb. But this isn't very accurate as it sometimes spikes all the way to 900 (if im abusing my computer, opening millions of internet-related applications) which only happened once, if i can recall correctly. My computer moved very slowly at the beginning, but after a few days it worked like normal even though the pf usage remained the same. however, this isn't the main issue and holds no relevance (I don't think) to the next issues I am to write.

    2) Trojans/Viruses
Yesterday, I went on a website and received a couple of trojan warnings from my AVG 7.5 (Free), and I went routinely to press the "heal" button. However, a few minutes later my computer spontaneously decided to restart and as I logged back on, the issues began.... (oh no!)

    3) Internet Connection Failures
When I logged back on, I realized the I couldn't go onto the internet and that I couldn't connect to any of my wireless networks. Also, during the time of the Trojan incident till the Internet connection failures, a thunderstorm had been occurring (just FYI). I preceded to turning off the power source for my computer, wireless router and modem, as this has helped resolve my internet issues in the past. However, as I restarted my computer and logged on 15 minutes later, my internet connection worked for roughly 10 seconds (the internet icon on the task bar shortcuts flashed), before returning to its malfunctioning state with its red cross of doom.

    4) Antivirus Failures
I attempted to resolve these problems by scanning my computer with numerous antivirus i have installed. I used Windows Care and Defragmenter by IObit without any problems. Spyboy S&D without any problems and returning with no problems. Then, I preceded to run Malwarebytes and AVG Anti-Rootkit Free at the same time. At roughly an hour later, I came to check up on my computer and returned to see.... (refer to section 5 i)

I came to the solution that running two antivirus programs wasn't such a great idea, so I restarted my computer to run Windows Defender alone. I returned at roughly an hour later (note the adverb roughly <---, so don't take this coincidence into consideration) and I saw .... (refer to section 5 ii)

    5) Blue Screen of Death
    i) I saw the blue screen for the first time in a very long time and I just preceded to restart my computer (refer back to section 4)
ii)Another blue screen of death! Surely, one antivirus program isn't enough to bring my whole computer crashing down (but then again, I haven't scanned my computer in ages). This time, I looked further down to see a little STOP: 0x0000008E and avgarkt.sys, or something along those lines. This time, I turned off my computer.

    6) Giving Up
While being able to solve my own computer issues most of the time, without the help of the Internet on the computer that is malfunctioning, I am hopeless. With my antivirus programs failing on me, I have no "last resort", except to possibly send this to my local computer technicians (that is, if you guys cannot help me :C)

This is the end of my two-day story. I know my title is a misnomer but I hope you guys are able to solve me problem(s).

    * Please note:

    - I have attempted to use System Restore as an alternative solution, it was successful but there was no result.
    - I cannot update my virus definitions because I don't have internet access.
    - I cannot download any fancy antivirus equipment/aid ie. Hijackthis because I don't have internet access.
    For the last two:
If you have some way for me to do these, then please give a suggestion!

    Thanks in advance!
