The application failed to initialize properly (oxc0000005)

When the computer starts, I see Application Error.

Code:

IWMSWindow : S24EvMon.exe
The exception unknown software exception 0xc0000409 occurred in the application at location 0x0044a920

And when I want start some programs. I see again another error.

The application failed to initialize properly (oxc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application.

 

s24evmon.exe wireless network diagnostics and configuration.
You may try updating your Wireless software, possibly by Windows updates, otherwise from your computer's or wireless adapter's website.
If not luck there, you may try to disable it through MSConfig. Maybe another way of disabling it - perhaps through Windows Defender. If you are not on Vista, you can download Windows Defender from Microsoft's website.

Good info on the startup manager DomLuc.
I should have qualified my answer with similar info -
Realizing that 'msconfig' is not meant to be used as a startup manager - and is for troubleshooing.
I mentioned Windows Defender - as reading troubleshooting techniques, I found that it can control startup items - but not its main forte.
Perhaps Startup CPL will be something I would find useful, will give it a try.
