    Hello MajorGeeks community...

TlDR; I took out every cable on my power block and there is only 1 connection left which I cannot remove no matter where I press or where I pull, i need to replace my power supply...see pictures at bottom for specific connection which I cant unplug.

I have been having a problem with my computer and I think it is the power block which needs to be replaced. My computer powers down after a short while of being turned on. When I tried to click a free mmo with high graphics, the computer shut down on its own again.

This shutting down is about the same as pulling the plug, you get no messages or things like the shutting down/installing updates screen.

Afterwards I plugged out my hard drive and turned on the computer, it stayed on for a while, but even that way it powered down later. (Which makes me seriously doubt any kind of virus)

Anyway, this is a gaming pc, a few years old.

Here are the specs, taken from cyberpower

Good luck on that! Well, it's probably the plastic "clamp" that is cracked under the lip of the motherboard's 8-pin connector.

I'd probably pull the motherboard and get an eye-level view of that clamp. The one time I ran across this problem, the solution was easy - a small flat-head screwdriver slid under the lower-clamp, flip it outward and the connector was freed.

I'd have clipped it off as my next solution, but the connector' clamp 'finished' its cracking finally and fell off completely. It was just a clamp, so the Power Connector was fine otherwise.

From your pix, you might be able to slide a small flat-head screwdriver's blade from left to right under that clamp and see if you can twist it 'open' but maybe a dismantling of your computer and reseating everything would be a good starting point to figure out the main issue. (Flakey starts and stops always have me thinking "overheating".)
